Opportunities for Alumni & Friends of St. George's School
We have several opportunities for friends of St. George's School to sail with us in Geronimo. All Geronimo expeditions are sail-training endeavors, and those who sail with us will help set sail, stand watch, steer the ship and help out in the galley. There will be opportunities to explore ports, brush up on your navigation skills, go fishing or participate in our sea turtle research. Thanksgiving 2009 : Harbour Island, Bahamas - November 22-28, 2009 - Open to all alumni and friends, this week-long trip begins in Harbour Island. Explore the surrounding waters under sail and participate in our turtle tagging efforts in cooperation with the Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research at the University of Florida. Port visits, sea turtle research, fishing and snorkeling. Cost: $1200 Spring Break 2010: Bahamas Out Islands - March 9-14, 2009 & March 20-26 Open to all alumni and friends, these trips begins in either George Town, Exumas or Cat Island. Explore the surrounding waters under sail and participate in our turtle tagging efforts in cooperation with the Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research at the University of Florida. Port visits in the Exumas, Cat Island & Long Island, sea turtle research, fishing and snorkeling. Cost: $1200 Contact us for more information on the Geronimo Program.
